The Lock Screen: More Personal, Beautiful & Helpful
The Lock Screen undergoes a complete transformation, providing increased options for personalization. You can now access useful information easily with brand-new widgets on the Lock Screen. Customize it according to your preferences by adding these new widgets, including upcoming calendar events, time zones, Activity ring progress, and additional features, all for your convenience.
You can also add a Weather wallpaper to see live weather it changes throughout the day; and an Astronomy wallpaper for views of the Earth and moon.
Apple has also redesigned notifications and they now roll in from the bottom so your wallpaper is always under your eyes.
Messages: Edit, Delete, Send
Now you can edit or un-send messages, and mark conversations as unread. With iOS 16, you can now invite your friends and family to SharePlay via Messages, SharePlay lets you to watch content together like movies or songs and shared playback controls.
Mail: Increased Productivity With All New Tools
With iOS 16 you can schedule an email and even cancel the delivery of a message before it reaches a recipient’s inbox. You can also set reminders for mails to look at a later date with “Remind me”. You will also receive automatic suggestions to follow up on an email if the recipient hasn’t got any response.
Fitness App Redesign
The Fitness app is now available to all iPhones with iOS 16. Now you can track and meet fitness goals, even without an Apple Watch. iPhone motion sensor helps track your steps, distance, and flights climbed.
Health App Imrovements
Apple has added Medications in the health app, allowing you to add and manage a medications list, create schedules and reminders.
